Manufacturing/Foundry Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Flow and solidification simulation and analysis
- Product design, development and troubleshooting for multiple materials
- Process evaluation and improvement
- Scrap and rework reduction
- New material and process R&D
- Process failure analysis and troubleshooting
- Product defect analysis and troubleshooting
- Sample casting evaluation and analysis
- Historical job review and analysis
- Interpret customer requirements and translate into proper manufacturing processes and controls
- Job specific process and work instruction development
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a metals manufacturing environment
- Mechanical or manufacturing engineering degree or significant additional related experience
- Ability to collect and process data accurately
- Strong analytical and statistical skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Project management training and/or experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
- Ability to read and produce technical reports and diagrams of manufacturing processes
- Ability and willingness to work with all levels of the company
Additional Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of welding processes and qualifications
- MAGMA solidification modeling experience
- Solidworks, AutoDesk, Pro/E experience
- Broad knowledge of varied alloy groups
